Description of content: This standard is applicable to lauric acid, a food additive derived from the separation and refining of coconut oil and other vegetable oils after hydrolysis.

Metals and arsenic specifications revised at the 57thJECFA (2001). An ADI 'not specified' was established at the 20thJECFA (1976)

  1. Set the content indicator and testing method of Lauric acid;
  2. Set limit indicator and and testing method of arsenic;
  3. Revise the testing method for lead content.

Reason: The standard is based on the revision of the "National Standard for Food Safety Food Additive Lauric acid" (GB 1886.81-2015) and combined with the actual quality of the product in China.
