| Causes of Pre-warning |
On July 25, 2020, according to the report from Slovakia authorities to World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), 1 outbreak of the African Swine Fever Virus occurred in Slovakia. In order to continuously protect the safety of animal husbandry in China and prevent the spread of epidemic diseases, this Pre-warningNotificationis issued in accordance with the provisions of the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Quarantine Law of the People’s Republic of China on Entry and Exit Animals and Plants and other relevant laws and regulations. |

| Measures ofPre-warning |
I. It is prohibited to import pigs, wild boars and their related products directly or indirectly from Slovakia. II. The quarantine inspection of the mailing goods and passengers’ accompanying articles from Slovakia shall be strengthened. Pigs, wild boars and their products shall be returned or destroyed once they are found. III. All pigs, wild boars and their related products found on the means of transport, such as ships, aircraft,road vehicles and railway trains imported from Slovakia, shall be sealed. Where they shall not be opened or used without the permission of the customs during their stay or transport in China. The wastes and swillshall be treated innocuously under the supervision of the customs and shall not be abandoned without authorization. IV. All pigs, wild boars and their related products from Slovakia illegally intercepted by the frontier defense department and other departments shall be destroyed under the supervision of the customs. V. Any violation of the above-mentioned provisions shall be processed by the customs in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Quarantine Law of the People’s Republic of China on Entry and Exit Animals and Plants and itsimplementing regulations. VI. The customs units shall, in accordance with the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Quarantine Law of the People’s Republic of China on Entry and Exit Animals and Plants and other relevant provisions, carry out quarantine properly. |
