On the morning of August 6, a China-Europe train loaded with car tires, soybean oil, aluminum ingots and other goods arrived at the Manchuria Railway Port in my country from Yekaterinburg, Russia. After reloading, it headed for Xi'an International Port Station. So far, more than 3,000 China-Europe trains have passed through the "East Channel" of China-Europe Railway Express, transporting more than 300,000 TEUs of various goods, accounting for 26.6% of the national total, of which the number of return trains accounts for 33.1% of the national total.

Yang Liang, freight workshop attendant at Manzhouli Station of China Railway Harbin Bureau: This year's return train volume is large, and the categories have also increased compared with last year. Categories such as soybean oil, decorative items, and car tires are also new this year. We directly load the return trains that can be released on the same day, reducing one landing operation and further improving the transportation time of the return trains.

The "East Channel" of China-Europe Railway Express consists of Manzhouli, Suifenhe and Tongjiang railway ports. At present, the number of routes passing through the "East Channel" of China-Europe Railway Express has increased to 27, covering 14 countries including Poland, Germany and the Netherlands, connecting more than 60 cities in China such as Changsha, Zhengzhou, Chengdu and Suzhou. The transported goods cover 12 major categories such as electronic products, aviation accessories, textile general merchandise, grain and soybean oil. In order to comprehensively improve the comprehensive guarantee capacity of serving the "Belt and Road Initiative", railways, border inspection and customs have established an integrated working system to fully shorten the stay time of return trains at port stations, and the customs clearance efficiency has increased by nearly 10% compared with before.

Qi Qiulai, deputy leader of the second duty team at the Manzhouli Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region: We are accelerating the construction of "smart ports", jointly developing a railway data application platform with the railway department, and further creating a service management model that is linked internally and externally and synchronized at the same frequency to ensure "zero waiting" for inspection of China-Europe Railway Express and "zero delay" for customs clearance.
