BEIJING–Recently, at the shipping warehouse of Xiang Piao Piao Food Co., Ltd., a fleet of container trucks loaded with cup-packed milk tea was ready for departure. Following clearance by Huzhou Customs under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou Customs, this consignment of Oriental Flavor Milk Tea is poised to embark on an international journey, destined for supermarket shelves worldwide.
"This year's new beverage launches, including Crispy Boba Brown Sugar Roasted Milk Tea and Crispy Boba Coconut Milk Taro, offer a delightful taste of winter when paired with classic pearls, proving highly popular in international markets," said Zhu Yuemin, Overseas Operations Specialist at Xiang Piao Piao Food Co., Ltd. "Over the first ten months of this year, the company exported 120 metric tons of milk tea products, valued at over 4 million yuan. Our products have not only reached Japan, South Korea, and the EU but also successfully expanded into new territories such as New Zealand, Cambodia, India, and Bulgaria."
To ensure smooth export of milk tea, Huzhou Customs has implemented a "one-on-one" enterprise liaison mechanism. This initiative assigns dedicated personnel to guide enterprises in understanding the core sterilization and disinfection requirements for dairy products in their respective export markets. These requirements are then translated into standardized documentation, such as processing records and product quality inspection reports, enabling enterprises to easily verify compliance and mitigate risks. Meanwhile, to enhance raw material traceability, the customs has dispatched experts to production workshops. These experts help enterprise streamline supply chain processes and bolster self-inspection and self-control measures at critical stages, thereby guaranteeing product quality and safety and ensuring that the origin of every cup of milk tea is clear and verifiable.
In addition, Huzhou Customs has launched a "green channel" and implemented 24/7 appointment-based customs clearance to ensure timely cargo loading for businesses, even on weekends.
Statistics show that in the first ten months of this year, exports of milk tea and related products under Huzhou Customs' jurisdiction exceeded 360 million yuan, marking a 21.3% year-on-year increase. (Reported by Zhang Qingyi)
