On July 20, 2024, Romania urgently reported to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) an outbreak of peste des petits ruminants in Tulcea province. To prevent the disease from spreading into China and protect the safety of animal husbandry and biosecurity in China, this announcement is hereby made in accordance with the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Biosecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine and its implementation regulations and other relevant laws and regulations.
