Description of content: The draft legal act amends Article 6(3) of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2072 and adds a new Article 6a, in view of clarifying the cases of plants for planting, -either imported into the European Union or moved within the European Union-, where exemptions from the rules of Regulated Non-Quarantine Pests (RNQPs) are possible. Certain conditions are put in place under which those exemptions should be applied. In this context:
The clarification of the exemptions from the rules for RNQPs, has as objective to facilitate trade while the envisaged conditions ensure plant protection. |
