On the morning of November 10, a China-Europe Railway Express train loaded with new energy vehicles (NEVs) under the “Intelligent Chinese Manufacturing” initiative was ready to depart from Tuanjie Village Central Station of Shapingba District, Chongqing. It embarked on a route that leads out of China via the Alashankou Port, through multiple countries across Asia and Europe, to Małaszewicze, Poland, for final distribution to Munich, Germany.

As a vital international trade artery for the city, the China-Europe Railway Express service from Chongqing has won favor among numerous clients. Its streamlined Customs clearance mechanism and highly capable, integrated end-to-end services have proven highly effective in reducing logistics costs and enhancing operational efficiency for businesses expanding overseas."In response to client needs, we create tailored transport solutions that secure both the safety and punctuality of their exports," stated a business representative from Yuxinou Logistics. "We plan to intensify collaboration with new energy vehicle manufacturers, leveraging Chongqing as a logistics hub to handle exports of greater volume and diversity."

The shipment not only showcases the robust industrial logistics support provided by the Chongqing-based China-Europe Railway Express but also strengthens the city’s role as a key hub for cross-border automotive logistics. It stands as another landmark example of how Chongqing, through its China-Europe Railway Express service, is driving the global expansion of Chinese enterprises under the Belt and Road Initiative.

As more domestic new energy vehicle makers accelerate their expansion into Europe, the highly efficient logistics system of the China-Europe Railway Express service anchored in Chongqing will grow even more critical. This expansion will also help more overseas consumers experience the full value of the “Intelligent Chinese Manufacturing” initiative. The combined model of “green logistics and intelligent manufacturing” offers a repeatable blueprint for other high-end Chinese manufacturers looking to expand abroad. Between January and October this year, the Chongqing-basedChina-Europe Railway Express service has shipped new energy vehicles with a total value close to 1 billion yuan.

Looking forward, Yuxinou Logistics will continue to expand the route network of Chongqing’s China-Europe Railway Express service, improve operational efficiency and service performance, support Chongqing in accelerating the development of its “33618” modern manufacturing cluster system and establishing itself as a comprehensive hub for inland opening-up, thereby further facilitating the global advancement of “Intelligent Chinese Manufacturing”.(By Bai Meiling)
