Description of content: This document specifies the energy and water efficiency grades, technical requirements, and test methods for electric washing machines and washer-dryers.

This document applies to household and similar electric washing machines and washer-dryers with a rated capacity of not more than 25.0kg and a rated voltage not exceeding 250V. For washer-dryers with a drying capacity of 1kg or less, only the washing program are assessed.

This document does not apply to washing machines without a spin-drying function, washing machines that cannot wash cotton fabrics, and pulsator washer-dryers. This standard also does not apply to dry-cleaning machines.
