Description of content: This amendment builds upon the China VI standard for light-duty vehicles by revising the definitions of emission control devices, defeat device, and auxiliary emission control devices. It strengthens the requirements for the sealing of type-approval vehicles and the reporting of failures in emission-related components covered under warranty. The amendment introduces provisions for the registration of CAL ID and CVN, specifies the equivalency conditions for type-approval extensions of hybrid electric vehicles, supplements the test procedures for vehicles with three or more axles, and further standardizes relevant technical testing requirements.
