Announcement No. 37 [2025] of GACC and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (On Preventing the Introduction of FMD from Hungary into China)

Hungary issued an urgent alert on March 7, 2025, to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) regarding a foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) outbreak detected at a farm in Győr-Moson-Sopron County. To safeguard China's animal husbandry industry and biological security, and prevent the introduction of these diseases, this Announcement is hereby issued in accordance with the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Biosafety Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine, and their implementing regulations.
