Ningbo China-CEEC Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone's Total Import-Export Volume Surpasses RMB 200 Billion

 

 

According to the data released by Ningbo Customs of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as "Ningbo Customs") on December 11, from January to November 2023, the import and export trade volume between Ningbo China-CEEC Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone and CEECs reached RMB 46.26 billion, with a YoY increase of 12.7%. Imports accounted for RMB 12.28 billion, while exports amounted to RMB 33.98 billion, up 25.8% and 8.6% YoY respectively.

Ningbo China-CEEC Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone is the only demonstration zone in China dedicated to economic and trade cooperation with CEECs. Since its inauguration in 2018, it has reached a total import and export volume of RMB 205.26 billion with CEECs, with an average annual growth rate of 42.3%.

The remarkable economic and trade accomplishments have instilled high confidence and motivation among the majority of CEECs involved in imports and exports.

Similar to Chen Yi, Zhang Peng, General Manager of Ningbo Free Trade Zone Yashengxiang International Trade Co., Ltd., has dedicated years of effort to tell impressive stories about CEE products to the Chinese market.

Zhang Peng said, "While major exhibitions eventually conclude, our product showcases and sales continue. With strong support from various government departments, our hot-selling products can be displayed and traded at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center all year round. Additionally, Ningbo Customs has established a dedicated service window for customs clearance, prioritizing the swift approval of imports from CEECs. It also guides us in utilizing cross-border e-commerce to explore new sales opportunities for our products, which gives me the confidence to secure more orders."

Since the inauguration of the Ningbo China-CEEC Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone, Ningbo Customs has been committed to improving the supervision and customs clearance facilitation services. Besides, it has undertaken the China-CEEC Dialogue on Customs Inspection and Quarantine Cooperation and built a cooperation platform for communication and dialogue between China and CEECs. Through the website of the China-CEEC Customs Information Center, 14,000 articles on customs policy trends and guidelines were released, addressing inquiries from Chinese and foreign enterprises regarding agricultural product imports from CEECs. The website has received a total of 1.9 million visits, earning strong trust from import and export enterprises in China and CEECs.
