On the morning of September 28, Yibin's first China-Europe Railway Express and Shuttle Bus carrying "Made in Yibin" products such as CATL electrode chips, Kaiyi SUVs and Push Cellulose Acetate departed from Yibin Port, further expanding Yibin's northward opening-up channel.
After departing from Yibin Port (Yibutan Station), the China-Europe Railway Express leaves China via Horgos Port in Xinjiang, passes through Kazakhstan, Belarus and other places, and finally arrives at Poland (Mala). It takes 17 days.
A relevant official from Yibin Bureau of Commerce said that the opening of China-Europe Railway Express and Shuttle Bus Service has provided a new convenient transportation channel for enterprises in Yibin and even in the joint region of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou to export goods to Europe, further promoting the high-quality development of Yibin's export-oriented economy.
In recent years, Yibin has focused on building an international multi-modal transport hub to supplement and strengthen the supply chain of comprehensive freight hubs. To the south, it actively integrates into the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, having launched 437 trains and shipped 21,998 TEUs. To the east, it has strengthened the Yangtze River waterway routes, opening a rapid waterway corridor between "Yibin and Wuhan" and a fast line for foreign trade container shipping between "Sichuan, Chongqing, and Shanghai" in 2023. To the north, it has established a TIR cross-border road transport route between China (Yibin) and Uzbekistan (Tashkent), achieving "one-stop" cross-border road transport and reducing transportation time by over 40%.
