GACC Announcement No. 147 [2025] (Announcement on Storage and Transportation Requirements for Imported Edible Vegetable Oils in Bulk)

Since the implementation of the national standard Hygienic Requirements for the Bulk Transportation of Edible Vegetable Oils (GB 44917) in February 2025, import and export enterprises in the edible vegetable oil industry have diligently complied with the relevant requirements, effectively safeguarding the quality and safety of imported edible vegetable oils in bulk. To further enhance full-chain supervision of imported edible vegetable oils, standardize and strengthen the storage and transportation management of imported edible vegetable oils in bulk, and reinforce the primary responsibility of food production and operation enterprises, this Announcement is hereby issued regarding the requirements for storage, transportation and customs declaration of imported edible vegetable oils in bulk according to the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and other relevant laws and regulations, as well as the Codex Alimentarius Commission's Code of Practice for the Storage and Transport of Edible Fats and Oils in Bulk (CXC 36).
