To prevent the introduction of animal and plant diseases and harmful organisms and to guard against the invasion of alien species, and to protect the production safety of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, ecological security and public health security in our country, in accordance with the "Biosecurity Law of the People's Republic of China", "Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China", "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Quarantine of Entry-Exit Animals and Plants", "Seed Law of the People's Republic of China" and other laws and regulations, The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in conjunction with the General Administration of Customs, has revised and improved the "List of Prohibited Animals, Plants and Their Products from Being Carried or Mailed into the People's Republic of China" (Announcement No. 1712 of the Ministry of Agriculture and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), and has formed a new "List of Prohibited Animals, Plants and Their Products and Other Quarantine Items from Being Carried or Mailed into the People's Republic of China", which is hereby released.
