Backed by strong exports of new energy products from Jiangsu, such as energy storage lithium batteries, photovoltaic modules, and wind turbine blades, crucial contributions are being made to plug the global "green gap" since the start of the year.

Shanghai Voltdeer Technology Co.,Ltd., a high-tech private enterprise specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of lithium batteries, recently shipped a batch of 320 portable energy storage lithium batteries from its Kunshan warehouse, after it cleared inspection for overseas shipment. These units have a capacity of 1,200 watts, with a compact volume of 0.02 cubic meters and a weight of 10.2 kilograms. "Portable energy storage lithium batteries are highly efficient, environmentally friendly, safe, and convenient," explained Li Fanjun, a representative from the Company. "They meet power needs for various scenarios like outdoor recreation and home emergency use, capable of providing roughly 8 hours of power for a 100-watt AC appliance." To better cater to different usage scenarios and user habits, the company continuously enhances the safety performance of its lithium battery products and optimizes packaging design, earning recognition from overseas consumers. The company's exports of lithium battery products hit 17.6 million yuan between January and October, marking a year-on-year surge of nearly 100 percent. According to Kunshan Customs, lithium battery product exports from January to October in Kunshan city totaled 2.57 billion yuan, an increase of 31.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

In Jiangsu, manufacturing sector continues to provide the world with high-quality, cost-effective "green products", making them increasingly affordable and accessible to a growing number of global consumers. On November 3, a batch of solar photovoltaic modules manufactured by Canadian Solar Sunenergy (suqian) Co Ltd cleared Customs rapidly and was shipped to Pakistan. The company has been consistently boosting investment in technology research and development while expanding its production capacity. "Our successful entry into the Pakistani market in 2024 has led to exports exceeding 400 million yuan in the first three quarters of this year, triple the figure for all of last year," stated Su Qian, the company's Customs Affairs director.

Jiangsu is deepening collaboration with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative in sectors such as the green economy, as part of joint efforts to advance green, low-carbon, and sustainable development. A shipment of 15 wind turbine blades, produced by the blade factory in Jiangyin operated by Envision Energy Co., Ltd., was recently consolidated at the Jiangyin Comprehensive Bonded Zone and would be transported to Egypt by sea. This marks the company's 15th shipment of wind turbine blades to Belt and Road partner countries this year. "In the first nine months, our exports of wind power equipment to Belt and Road partner countries have surpassed 180 million yuan in value, and our order backlog is already scheduled into December of next year,"stated Huang Wei, director of Envision Energy's blade factory in Jiangyin.

As China's green economy expands globally, the footprint of its green equipment is fast expanding beyond the international wind power sector into the new energy vehicle supply chain. On November 3, close to 500 variants of new energy vehicle connectors began rolling off production lines atAmphenol Automotive Connection System (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., destined for export to Serbia. The company currently ships several hundred thousand connector units every day, catering to both leading domestic automakers and a growing network of international clients. In the first three quarters of the year, its exports reached 314 million yuan, reflecting a 5.7 percent year-on-year growth. "We are actively integrating into the vast market landscape of the Belt and Road Initiative and have successfully entered new markets in Central and Eastern Europe Countries (CEECs) this year," said Chen Yuping, the company's Logistics Manager.
