Wang Lingjun, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs, went to Belgium to attend the annual meeting of the World Customs Organization and paid a visit to Serbia

From June 23 to 28, Wang Lingjun, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs, led Chinese Customs delegation to Belgium to attend the Annual Meeting of the World Customs Organization (WCO) and visited Serbian counterpart.

During the visit, head of the delegation listened to the report of the WCO Annual Meeting and made a speech, and participated in the meeting of the customs directors of the BRICS countries. The delegation met with General Secretary of the WCO, President of the Council, and General Director of the Directorgeneral for Taxation and Customs of the European Commission, and exchanged views with the customs officials of many countries including Belgium, Namibia and Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, the delegation exchanged views with heads of the Agricultural Departments of Belgium and Serbia on issues such as prevention and control of animal and plant diseases and trade in agricultural and food products.

The delegation had signed a total of four customs inspection and quarantine cooperation documents with foreign side, conducted research at customs supervision sites and other places, and communicated with responsible persons of Chinese embassies abroad.
