The number has exceeded a quarter of China's total freight trains, making Xi'an International Port Station the first in China to operate over 30,000 trains. Core indicators, including operation volume, freight volume, and heavy container rate, rank first in the country.
In recent years, China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co has promoted the construction of the China-Europe Railway Express Xi'an Assembly Center. By expanding the transportation network and optimizing organizational structure, it has improved operational scale, channel capacity, and operational quality, injecting strong momentum into the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Behind this achievement is the company's cultivation of "high efficiency, low cost, and excellent service". Its 12 gantry cranes and seven front cranes feature a daily loading and unloading capacity of nearly 50 trains and an annual container handling capacity of 1.2 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).
Through three rounds of capacity expansion and renovation, Xi'an International Port Station now covers an area of 5,600 mu (373.33 hectares) and operates 59 railway lines, including 18 international container lines. The station's designed annual throughput is 5.4 million TEUs, and the transportation capacity is 66 million metric tons, laying a solid hardware foundation for high-frequency train operation.

As of July 31, Xi'an has operated 571 full timetable trains, exceeding the national total by 50 percent. Through full timetable train transportation, delivery time is reduced by more than 30 percent compared to ordinary trains, and transportation costs are less than one-fifth of air freight, making the brand increasingly favored by the market.
As a hub for the assembly and distribution of China-Europe freight trains, Xi'an International Port Station also has impressive data for return trains, operating a total of 1,756 return trains in the first half of this year, accounting for 57 percent of the total number of trains operated.
