According to the latest official figures, Ningbo's import-export volume with CEECs reached 35.91 billion yuan from January to July this year, up 12.1% year-on-year. As both a pioneer and key gateway in China-CEEC cooperation, the city continues to strengthen its trade ties with the region.

Targeting the blue ocean market in CEECs, Ningbo manufacturers are accelerating their expansion. Machinery and electronic products have become the major exports, accounting for a full 50% of Ningbo's total export volume to the region. According to statistics released by Ningbo Customs, the city’s machinery and electronic products exports to CEECs hit 19.53 billion yuan during the January-July period, representing a robust 18.5% year-on-year growth. A prime example is Ningbo Hongyi Electronics Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Hongyi Electronics). As Asia's leading power connector manufacturer, Hongyi Electronics saw its CEEC exports surge 70.98% YoY to over 70 million yuan during this period.

"Specializing in power connectors, Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, and complementary accessories solutions for residential, industrial, commercial, and new energy applications. In recent years, we have consistently aligned with market demands by substantially increasing R&D investment in new product development while proactively expanding our distribution channels targeting CEEC market," explained Manager Yu of the Company, "with distinct technological edge and uncompromising product quality, our solutions have earned widespread market acclaim. We enjoy particularly high recognition from clients in CEEC market, especially in Poland and Hungary."

Following the strong performance of exports about machinery and electronic products, Ningbo's traditional strength - its competitive textile industry cluster - has also made impressive strides in CEEC market. Official statistics reveal that during the January-July period, Ningbo's exports of labor-intensive products (including textiles, garments, furniture and their components) to CEECs reached 5.63 billion yuan, representing a substantial 21% year-on-year growth. A prime example is Ningbo MH Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as MH), whose specialized textile products have successfully gained footholds in multiple markets within CEECs.

"We remain committed to deepening our market penetration in Poland, Romania and other CEECs," explained Manager Chen, MH's head of CEEC operations. "The superior quality and unique designs of our textile products, particularly garment accessories, have earned strong market recognition among customers within the region, resulting in steadily expanding client networks. Our exports to CEECs exceeded 50 million yuan in the first seven months of the year, achieving remarkable year-on-year growth of approximately 39.98%."

To support businesses' growing demand for CEEC market expansion and their need for greater efficiency, Ningbo Customs has shifted service delivery forward through proactive measures. These include 36 detailed measures to facilitate high-level openness, "One-stop Service for Imports from CEEC", round-the-clock appointment-based clearance services, and the newly established China-CEEC Customs Inspection and Quarantine Coordination Mechanism - all representing significant upgrades to the import and export trade facilitation framework for CEEC goods. Looking to the future, Ningbo is strategically positioning itself for broader cooperation by capitalizing on its deep-water port's logistics hub advantages, robust manufacturing cluster foundation, and highly efficient customs clearance system. Through these open policies and practical measures, Ningbo stands ready to jointly write new chapters of mutual prosperity and win-win situation with its CEEC partners.
